Welcome to the portfolio of William Burton. I am a London based web designer/developer with a background in product design.
History
I’ve been a freelance designer since graduating in 2004. I spent four years studying product and furniture design at Nottingham Trent University where I learnt the theory and practice of the design process. I had a particular interest in good, user centered, sustainable design, but always found myself taking the most pleasure from the visual presentation and communication of ideas.
On completing my degree I had a renewed passion for 2-D and when I started playing with the web, I realised I could not only be designer, but manufacturer too. Developing sites from sketch ideas, all the way through to finished product. Since then I’ve been on a continuing journey to learn the mechanics and discover the possibilities of the web.
